The iconic Speights Coast to Coast started over 800 competitors in its 26th year, and Exelite supplied the end competitors with Exelite LUMIVESTs to wear as they made their weary way to the finish line. Being Transit compliant and with the extra safety enhancement of self-illumination, the choice of using the vests was a no-brainer for event organisers. “The end competitors are vulnerable as they come to the completion of the event so we need to do everything we can to provide them with as much visibility as the day gets darker”. Event Director, Robin Judkins, chooses to wear the LUMIVEST lit up at the start of the event, to ensure that he is easily identified amongst the sea of competitors.
